Accommodation for agricultural workers
Working with the client I designed and constructed a bespoke accommodation facility for a top fruit farmer in Kent. This project presented unique challenges in balancing functionality, and cost-effectiveness, all while adhering to Building Regulations. The result was a modern, durable, steel-framed living space that met the client's operational needs and provided excellent living conditions for their workforce, delivered on time and on budget.
Advanced fruit storage solutions
I have managed the development of multiple blocks of controlled atmosphere stores for long-term fruit storage. My largest project in this area involved a facility capable of holding 20,000 bins of fruit. We delivered state-of-the-art facilities that significantly extended the shelf life of produce, providing substantial value to our agricultural clients.
Multi-functional building Usage
The example opposite combines both farm storage areas, combined with a staff accommodation area including kitchen, showers and lounge areas.
I have also run projects which have involved constructing fruit packhouses which have included not just the grading areas, but welfare, changing rooms, offices, chilled dispatches, with all the associated services and finishes.
